Battery Storage

Now that I have a 2 Nikon digitals I carry around 3 spare EN-4 batteries. I lost those white plastic covers and they do not sell replacements.

I have witnessed a photographer fanny pack smoldering after his D1 battery connections got shorted. also, if that black plastic nubbin the end of your EN-4 breaks you are up the creek

Has anyone found a good way to carry around extra batteries?

I use Lowe Pro small bag that fit on their Stret & field system, It hold 3 batteries.
I usually put them down (so i can grab the cover part) and the other way if it is an empty battery. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I use an external 7.2 volt acid battery pack, but also carry spares in a hard drive wrapper as they are extremely tough.
