| Re: MB-D200 in a D300? Charles, the only thing from a D200 that will work in a D300 are the batteries themselves. The MB-D10 battery pack "grip" is completely incompatible, and is far superior to the D-200's; except it only holds one EN-EL3e battery in the clip (similar design to a D2x).
You can have a second battery in the camera body, but I don't recommend that, because when I do, I get random "battery low" camera shutdowns. I have to turn the camera off, then back on to get it to work again. With just one battery in the grip, it hasn't happened. Nikon needs to address this.
Battery life is greatly increased with the D300, so one battery is not a huge issue.
