| D80 issues Recently I wanted to sell my Tamron 70-210 2.8 lens to a friend. When he put it on his D80 body the lens would not communicate to his camera. This lens has been working properly ever since I have had it. The lens is about 4 years old, no problems with it at all. I was using it regularly until about 2 months ago when I bought the nikkor 70-200 vr lens. This lens worked w/o any problems on my D2x, Kodak 620. My friend who has the D80 has several other Tamron lens, one that is older than mine. And for some reason this 70-210 will not communicate, or do anything while on the D80. Take the lens off it will work just fine on the d2x, kodak 620, F4, and even on his friends D40. I think thier must be something wrong with his D80. All of his functions work on his camera. Is this lens compatible with this camera? Or is thier any other issues? Look forward to you imput. White Balance so easy, even our 5 year old can do it.- Melissa Strickland |
