Getting vertical D200 shots to download as verticals

I have two D200 bodies. When I download photos using Photo Mechanic from my CF cards, body 1 always produces vertical portraits that need rotating in PM or Photoshop, yet body 2 produces verticals that display as verticals in my browsers. I can't find a menu function that controls this...pretty sure "Rotate Tall" from the playback menu is not the one, and I've got it turned off in both bodies. How do I get verticals from body 1 to download already rotated?

in the SETUP menu (the WRENCH icon), there's an AUTO IMAGE ROTATION setting (ON/OFF)

Also, make sure you have the latest firmware upgrade for the D200. The original firmware was buggy concerning the auto rotation feature. I had the problem intermittenly until I upgraded the firmware and now no problems. Good luck!
