Re: Need your opinion on the outcome from d1x

Israel...

I have one question and one comment. The item is Photo 1, as I live sort of off the beaten path, and theconnection is SLOW. Question is how did you do the lighting? The shadows are very subdued. Something I would like to try to emulate.

Comment is on the auto level. It didn't look right to me. I loaded the photo into 6.0.1 and hit auto level,,, that gave a different result than what you have. The picture looks much sharper. No comment there, and I don't know what to make of it.
I think that playing around with the autolevel, as I depend on it a great deal also, is on my list of things to do.

Other than that, the photo looks like the results that I am getting.

happy photos dennis.

Israel.

Re previous post, mea culpa. I misread your auto comment. As unretouched, that is what I am getting.

Still would like to know what you did for light, if you have the time to respond.

Israel:

You're getting good sharpness, but your focus point is a teensy bit behind where it should be. In pictures 1 and 4, note that the sharpest focus is at one of the person's ties--it should be at their eyes.

>>The shadows are very subdued<<

I used the SB28D towered up with the white card. Some time I am adding white paper to make the area of the white reflection even bigger.
