I use the Microtech reader USB, and would strongly recommend it. Just serach the web by their name to find a vendor who sells it.
I almost never format the drive, instead, just delete the images from it after I have copied them to my PC. Constant formating can hurt a drive over time.

Paul, why do you say that formatting will "hurt" a drive? Not true in my opinion and experience. Formatting is also much faster than deleting individual files, it is simpley re-writing the directory information, clearing it actually, so is less abusive.
Yamil, just be sure to do this in the camera and not in the computer so you don't get Windows Recycle Bins laying around on the microdrive. I use a PNY USB reader with both a 340 and a 1gb microdrive with no problems at all.

The formatting issue probably has to do with how the formatting is done. I would guess that since a 1 gb drive formats in seconds in the camera that it isn't doing a low level format, which would be more invasive. So, I don't see any problems with formatting on a regular schedule, and it does get rid of any miscellaneous files that the operating systems might place onto the drives. But I'd like to hear from others who might disagree.

Bill, what I meant was a low level format, not a quick format. Formating a drive in low order is not something you want to do everyday IMO. A quick format can work fine. However from my experience, just deleting the files in explorer works fine.
The other reason I don't like formatting the microdrive is it is removeable media, and from my experience with Iomega and IBM products you really don't want to do a full format all the time.
