Battery conditioning for D1X

I started my first battery conditioning, on a new D1X battery, some 4 hours ago.

And the refresh light is still on?

Is this normal?

Paul

Re: Battery conditioning for D1X

Paul,
While I didn't time it, it took approximately 6 hours for each of the three refreshes that I did.

Re: Battery conditioning for D1X

Alan,

Is the sequence of indicators like:

"refresh light on"
"charge light on"
"end light on"

as one complete conditioning?

and do 3 sets of these?

I think I interrupted my first conditioning process when I saw the "charge" light on after 5 hours, I pressed the "refresh" button sending the battery back to a "refresh" mode. Then when I saw the "charge" light on after only 1 hour, I suspected that I'd screwed up the 1st conditioning cycle.

Wonder if I had already ruined the battery?

Paul

Paul you wrote:

You won't hurt the battery. All the refresh cycle does is discharge the battery all the way down, kick off a charge and when done drop down to a maintenance charge of around .5

Your sequence of lights of right. A full discharge/recharge i.e refresh will take as much as 8 hours so don't worry about time.

Re: Battery conditioning for D1X

On day 2 of my D1X battery conditioning, and the 3rd "refreshes" cycle. Man, this thing is slow.
