Re: D1H shipping in US

Got our D1H's today and shot an assignment this evening. In a dimly lit gymnasium with bleeding daylight from windows and tungston overheads. With the camera set to 1250 and 1600 ASA and a pre-set white, the camera rocked. It was really quick, the response time on the preview was great and the wider viewfinder were a huge plus.
So far so good! At 1600 the images were pretty darn nice looking compared to the D1.

Re: D1H shipping in US

Does anyone know if the D1H is in stock anywhere in the US? I've also read that they would be going for about $3,800 but haven't seen them advertised for less than $4,300. Is anyone getting them for cheaper?

Thanks,

Kevin R.

Re: D1H shipping in US

We just unpacked eight D1-H's and related gear from Louis Feldman @ Samy's Camera in California. They gave our newspaper a great deal! Call him.

We're chompin' at the bit while our batteries go through boot camp (AKA "conditioning").

Re: D1H shipping in US

My D1H arrived Friday, Aug. 10. It's my first full-time ditcam, and so far has not left me wanting. I spent yesterday into last night conditioning my batteries so I could shoot a football media day this morning, and shooting it on cards saved me a pile of work over scanning film. Color, sharpness and workflow are all in line with what I had hoped.
