D200 and MC30 problem

I've have a problem when using my MC30 remote cable release with my D200. This is a new problem... didn't have it at first. When I trigger the shutter, the camera focuses and fires as expected, and the data is apparently transferred to the CF card (at least the light comes on and goes off). The problem is that the image does not display on the LCD. When I remove the cable, the image(s) then display in sequence. So I must constantly remove the cable if I am going to view the data available on the LCD.

I suspect I've changed a setting somewhere by accident. Any ideas?

KC
Take a look at your playback menu and see if your image review is set to off. It should be set to on in order to have your photos automatically displayed.

Re: D200 and MC30 problem

Just checked. Image review is set to "on." Any other ideas? I've had this cable since my F100 days and am wondering if there might be a short in it. If so, it would be nice to know how to test it.

I'd call Nikon. They should be able to step you through this.

Re: D200 and MC30 problem

Thanks. I think I've determined there is a short in the MC-30. If I find out for sure, I'll let you know.
