Mixing SB-600 With SB-800 any drawbacks?

I have an SU-800 and 2 SB-800. I need to add 2 additional flashes for environmental portrait use. Any problems in adding SB-600 instead of using SB-800?

I can't think of any. The 600 can't be used as the controller.

Re: Mixing SB-600 With SB-800 any drawbacks?

Hi Traci.

I can only say, not at all.

I have a set up with one SU-800, 7 SB-600 and 2 SB-800.

I get more ligth with 2 or 3 SB-600 in the same group when using different zoom on the flash than a single SB-800.

Economic you get more ligth/$ with two SB-600 than one SB-800 and the SB-600 have more flashes/batteries than SB-800.

I'm not shure but I think that the SB-800 do have about 150 flash full power and the SB-600 do have 240.

The only things that would stop me is a sync socket and su-4 mode for integrating with studio lights. In a pure iTTL mode there should be no issues
