Nikon fitting Tamron 14mm lens

Hi-I'm thinking of buying a Tamron 14mm for my Nikon D2X and wondered if anyone knows how they fare compared to the Nikon equivalent?

Joe

Re: Nikon fitting Tamron 14mm lens

I have the real thing. The 14mm Nikkor. Last year my son photographed 4500 in a military formation. At the same time he photographed the same group with a RB67 and the 37mm lens.

As an older photographer, I could not believe how much better the Kodak 14NX and the Nikkor 14mm was over the film camera. Just wanted to give a plug for the 14mm Nikkor.

Why not rent a 14mm Tamron for a few days and see for yourself if you like it.

Re: Nikon fitting Tamron 14mm lens

Thanks Larry-I've actually gone one wider and got a 10.5mm on ebay.
Can't wait to get it as I've always wanted a fisheye from years back but was put off of the high prices. Now it's much more affordable!
