| Intermittent AF failure with D200 and 14mmF2.8 Nikkor I get intermittent non auto focus behavior with my Nikkor 14mmf2.8 AF-D lens. I touch the shutter button, and no focus. I release the button and try again, sometimes it recovers quickly, sometimes I must try a third or fourth time. Not good when you're shooting from an aircraft and it causes you to miss the composition you thought you had. My camera's menu is set to Focus priority release when in S focus mode; I guess I could switch to shutter release priority, but this doesn't solve the fundamental problem.
I don't have this problem with my 24-120mm VR Nikkor nor other Nikkor AF lenses in my bag.
I bought the 14mm lens second hand over a year ago, it was in like-new condition.
Has anyone experienced this? Cost to fix? Camera menu items to check?
