Is there a firmware update for D200?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a firmware update for the D200 yet?

Nikon announced that there would be a firmware update fall 2006. It is not out yet, but check the nikon site every so often. The announcement is on the Nikon website and explains what the update will cover.

Hey,
I just installed the update this very morning, and it seems fine so far. I will be shooting today with iti to run it through the testing mill. Will see how it behaves today. Shooting some small indy film behind the scenes stuff.

I just got my D200 back from Nikon Canada Service for a cleaning and the firmware was updated - 2.0 for both A & B. I didn't know anything about it, but noticed it when I was resetting my defaults.

I updated the firmware before reading what the update was (thinking that update is better). The biggest effect on the update is with the WiFi features which I don't use.

As long as it doesn't hurt anything else, then you should be fine. I do get your point though, don't fix it if it's not broken.
