Re: D200 w/SB800 washing out shots!

I am suprised that no one asked if he is just looking at the LCD or actually looking at historgrams.

This could be as simple as having his LCD turned down so dark that he is blowing out his shots so they look good on the monitor.

Re: D200 w/SB800 washing out shots!

Hey,
I'm not sure if I have the monitor turned down or not, but I will check it out. Also, as for shooting close, I have noticed that there are shots that were shot full length too, that had the same effect of blown highlights. I will try shooting either manual or AP next time. I will also, check the monitor more for blown hightlights with the blinkies turned on too. I have to start checking these things out as I go as this can be a savior and can get me out of a jam next time. Also, I do not have the TTL BL turned on. Just TTL! I check my self constantly. I just got use to shooting film and not having to worry about that, histograms etc, blinkies, and it is a different world shooting digital now. TIA!
