Re: Future DX lenses

Blast from the past, but still interesting. The only prediction that came true was the 200mm F2.
  • A 24-80DX AF-S F2.8 with vibration reduction and the same design as the current 70-200 would be very high on my list.
  • A recilinier (SP?) 10mm.
  • An 18mm PC-DX lens.
  • Some fast primes like a 28mm F1.4 DX AF-S. Nikon had this lens as a film model, but it cost something like $1700, and was really huge. If it was a DX model, then they could make it cheaper and smaller.

Re: Future DX lenses

David, I was just thinking about this thread and when I scrolled down, I came to your post and those lenses are almost exactly what I'd like. Especially the 18mm PC lens! I have also wished for a 24~70 DX lens to replace my FF 28~70 2.8 that would be a little smaller and lighter(and a little wider). Those lenses would be especially useful!!!!
