Want to buy 70-200 VR Af Zoom

Hey,
Does anyone know where I can pick up this lens (Nikon 70-200 VR), without having to pay the tax on it. I live in NYC. I need a good online source. Reliable!

The tax issue not withstanding...... Sammy's in L.A. has great service. As far as the tax issue goes.......If you are doing this as a business .... your are playing with matches. It's not a question of whether you get burned but when.

I recommend HK Supplies. They're a quick reliable online service based in Hong Kong.
Only problem is if it goes wrong then it's harder to take back!

Give Jeff Snyder a call at PennCamera in Maryland (or is it DC?) -- he's given me better service and better prices on Nikon lenses than the two big NYC dealers I've used.

I'm not offering tax advice here... just a better dealer to work with.

Hey,
Thanks guys, in the end I called Adorama, and they are offering me the same lens with a USA warranty, for less than either of the other dealers listed. Not including Hong Kong. At any rate, money is a bit tight right now and that is the only reason I was inquiring about the tax-less purchase. Thanks!

You will most likely owe a use tax for out of state purchases which are, not coincidentally, the same as a sales tax. You will pay it when you get audited by your state, city, county. They can add penalties if they believe you knew about it and just ignored paying.
