On page 34 of the manual, this statement implies the use of sRGB in all the vari-program modes, of which Portrait is one:
"Photos taken in Digital Vari-Program modes are recorded in the sRGB color space (page 59)."
So there could be some problem with the camera if the sRGB profile is not recognized. However, elsewhere in the manual, (maybe it was page 59), there is a disclaimer that this is based on EXIF, and that some of the EXIF info may not be according to EXIF standards, so there is the possibility that the recording of the profile in Portrait mode, doesn't observe the EXIF standard so as to be recognized by Photoshop.
I'll have to check my D70 to see how it handles Portrait mode color space. I'll let you know. White Balance so easy, even our 5 year old can do it.- Melissa Strickland |
