Who repairs Nikon flash

I blew the flashtube on my SB 80. Any good repairs sites other than Nikon? What might I expect to pay for a flashtube replacement?

Thanks for asking that question, Mark. I recently dropped my SB-28 off a mountain doing a cover shoot. Broke the edge of the plastic foot and no flash when triggered. Everything else looks good on the read-outs.

Well, I'm in Canada and I have a local shop that is very highly regarded. Because if the difference in the dollar it may even be worth the shipping charges for you They offer out of warranty service on Nikon equipment.

However, I would say that most pro repaire shops should be able to (I would think) work on the gear for you, but it would void your warranty if they are not an authorized dealer. Though if you are already out of warranty, who cares?

The other thing you might think about is simply replacing you SB-80...with a $34 eBay model:

Or used Mertz unit that is compatible with you camera.

Or simple a new flash....

My broken flash is the SB 80DX, not the cheap flash. Thanks to all for the advertising of the various camera repair shops, but I dont think they repair electronic flash units inhouse.
