Gyros causing noise with DSLRs?

Does anyone have any experience related to Kenyon Gyros causing additional noise with DSLRs? I don't know whether that is a possibility or not, but I'd like to see if anyone ever had noise added from proximity to electric motors, etc.

Re: Gyros causing noise with DSLRs?

I shoot with a KS8 all the time , attached to a SLR/n, no problem what so ever. I asked the same question when I bought a digital!
I worry more about how close my mobile phone is to CF cards, anyone had a problem with that ?

Kevin.

Re: Gyros causing noise with DSLRs?

I have a Ken-Lab KS-6. No problems with digital, according to Ken-Lab, with the exception of microdrives. The gyro does generate it's own high frequency vibration which does not bother the shutter or camera, but does irritate the microdrive. CF cards are fine. I've not seen any noise/interferance issues with mine and mine is vintage 1983. They are made for video work, and to go in planes and helicopters where you couldn't tolerate electrical interferance of any kind.
