SC-28 with D100 pop up flash

Hi everyone, my first post here.

Due to the forward cable routing of the SC-17 flash cable, it effectively disables the pop up flash on my D100 and other such Nikons. I know that the SC-28 routes the cable parallel to the camera--but does this provide enough clearance so that you can use the in camera flash as well as the flash on the SC-28? Or am I relegated to just the remote flash.

I've ordered the SC-28, but it would be nice to know if this is going to solve my problem or not. Thanks.
