From my front window tonight

Shot this tonight at 9:15 standing in my living room. By the time I had a chance to switch to 3200, the light was gone and so were the deer. As it was, I was 2 stops underexposed. Oh well, thought people might like to see. The 70-200 was about 1/2 what I needed.

Looks like you didn't really miss anything. Awesome shot. Excellent color, especially for an underexposure.

I think its a gorgeous image and taken at just the right moment. May have been underxposed - but I do not see any problems with it.

Re: From my front window tonight

Capturing an animal's eyes makes up for a great many other deficits. Very nice shot - evocative. And did I mention the thing about the eyes? Crucial, IMHO, and you nailed it.

Burning in the edges of the image just a bit might enhance visual impact, if you are so inclined.

Beautiful. You just have to say "awwwww" to a scene like this!

At this size, at least, none of the defects you allude to appear to distract from the scene.
