Visiting Hawaii

My wife and I will be visiting Hawaii for the first time next month and I am seeking some advice on landscape and nature photography. We will be staying for nine days on the island of Oahu. We are using hotel points and did not have much choice on which island we would use as "home base". We would like to visit the islands of Maui and Hawaii for a day each. Also, if time allows, the island of Kauai. What would be some of the prime photo areas on each island and would a day on each of the three islands be ample time? I am planning on taking my Canon 30D plus the following lenses: EF 24-70mm f2.8, EF 17-40mm f4, EF 70-200 f2,8 IS, 1.4 converter and the EF 85mm f1.2 for casual (people) night shots. Also include a tripod, and various filters. Is this over kill? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Ron

Re: Visiting Hawaii

I spent a week on Kauai quite a few years ago, and found that the west side had some terrific photo opportunities, but the best required some hiking. I don't think one day would be nearly enough, unless you would be content to just shoot the surf and palm trees on the east side.

(retracted post)

I realized after responding that this was an outdated request.
