| Re: Charleston, SC If you're looking for nature "fine art", I'd go out to Kiawah Island, for some terrific prospects in the swamps, golf courses, along the beaches, etc. You'd need a day permit, but call first, and you could get in, I suppose. (It's a gated community.
There's also a Plantation called Magnolia Gardens outside of Charleston which has a great remote path walkway, with wood-planked bridges. There's also another plantation called, I think, Drayton Hall, nearly across the street from the Magnolia one.
For fun stuff downtown, the "Rainbow Row" houses could be a good starting point, and there are many, many historic and beautiful doorways, buildings, cemetaries and such in the area.
Also, look at the City of Charleston college for excellent environments.
There are terrific opportunities at dusk and dawn all through the city. White Balance so easy, even our 5 year old can do it.- Melissa Strickland |
