Yosemite Dec-2006

Hi,
I am planning a trip to Yosemite the 2 first weeks of December. I would like to get advice on what to expect, weather wise. Should I also expect to be stuck within the valley, due to snow and closed roads? What are the photographic oportunities from within the valley (for both landscapes and wiledlife)? Any advice?
If some of the roads are closed, do they rent snowmobiles to move around?

Thank you!
Raul.

Re: Yosemite Dec-2006

Most of the Yosemite images you find all over the place are from the valley so there's certainly no shortage of opportunities. In December the roads to the high country will be closed so unless you plan to cross-country ski or snowshoe you will not be able to get to places like Tuolumne Meadows etc.

Stongly suggest you attend a shooting seminar with Craven at the Ansel Adams Gallery. They have a web site and offer several field shooting classes. From what I hear you go sun up to sun down. I am going up same time frame as well! Good luck!
