What kind of success has anyone had in selling their nature prints? and What marketing avenues work best?

Re: Print sales

My print sales come in the form of one here, one there. etc.

Nearly all my sales come from the local zoo, which buys my stuff for postcards, books, and print sales within the zoo store.

Same here, but while out shooting one day I ran into another photographer and we got to talking. He said he had previously had a gallery in Santa Fe (mecca of galleries) but that in fact he had made the bulk of his money from postcards and notecards. So I'm taking another tack and am going to be getting postcards and notecards made and also offering low cost (dyesub) prints online, but will still sell larger fine art prints also. If nothing else the low cost "impulse" stuff should help the marketing of more expensive prints.
