a DB has no moving parts, well maybe if you include the push of a button, opening of a the CF card door etc!
captures on it i believe would be a non issue, its only receiving light. as long as everything is good on it i think its fine. they are really built like a tank. perhaps it pays to have someone look through it thoroughly.
