Re: Full Screen on MacBook

Beautiful! …just what I wanted, the Dock now works just like the Taskbar in Windows when ‘Auto Hide’ is turned on.

You are right about the ‘Dashboard’ and the ‘Dock’ …I’m still getting use to the Mac’s way of naming and doing things, sorry for the confusion. Now I don’t need to purchase a new copy of Vista …great!

I rechecked DPP and it now takes over the full screen, all the way to the bottom. Believe it or not I found responses by Mac users to my ‘full screen’ question on the web when I Googled it that stated there was no way to do full screen like on a PC.

Many thanks Mike …it seems so obvious now that I know where to look.

Jerry...

That full screen thing is a neat trick, displays the image on a dark gray background. I don’t see how to do the same thing in Zoombrowser on Vista though :-(

Thanks for the tip!

Mark, check out the freeware program "Irfan View" for Windows.

It might not integrate into the way you like to do things, but if it does (as it does for me) it's indispensable.

Re: Full Screen on MacBook

Noel... Thanks for the pointer. Irfan View does seem to read a lot of different formats, I just don't see what I would use it for.

Re: Full Screen on MacBook

Well, for one thing it knows how (with the proper configuration) to pull the embedded JPEG out of .CR2 files, which makes for instantaneous preview of raw files.

Jerry - I'm not finding Image Browser anywhere in my Mac Pro/OSX10.5.6. Are you referring to a Windows app?

Image Browser is a Canon application, part of the software utilities package that comes with Canon Cameras.
