It isn't clear to me that any old EyeOne Display will work with the NEC. A friend of mine just received his 3090 and it's refusing to initialize the EyeOne Display 2 puck he already owns. NEC tech support seems to be blowing him off because the puck doesn't have "NEC" stamped on it.

My EyeOne says GretagMacbeth on it (that's how old it is). You don't need a NEC branded unit (its just a decal anyway). At least on the Mac, the latest version is 1.0.4.2 and supports the 3090. Note that in Europe, its a totally different software package so I can't say if it works for the newer unit or not.
