Tethered Mac & Aperture

Has anyone any experience of using Aperture to print directly from a thethered camera? I want to use my Canon camera to shoot formals at events thethered to a Mac Book Pro using a Hot Folder and Aperture, then crop the picture on the fly and print to a dye sub printer - is this possible and does anyone know how much time it will take? Do I have to export each image as a jpeg or will Aperture figure it all out for me?

Yes it will work. Aperture can print directly without exporting them and reopening. There is a print dialog box that allows you to make your settings that is similar but not the same as photoshop and other apps. Just do a test run before you need it.

That is because Canon doesn't use the standard PTP protocol in this camera.
