Question Dual monitor back to One...

Ok so this should be easy but I cannot seem to figure out how to get some windows that were one on a secondary display back to the main display. I'll explain.

I have a MacBook Pro that I hook up to a 23" external and run it as a secondary monitor on occasion. I'll move some app windows to that display to spread stuff out. If I don't move that app window back to the laptop before quitting, upon relaunch the window will alway want to be placed on the secondary monitor even if there is not one hooked up. So I cannot see it or drag it back to where I can use it.

Any help appreciated!
John

John,

Not sure what is happening here as I haven't had the problem, but you might try going to the Display pane and clicking on the "Gather Windows" button if it is there. This should get you all the windows back on your main display.

Hope that helps.

David.

Re: Dual monitor back to One...

John,

When you remove the second monitor, are you shutting down or putting your laptop to sleep, or are you just disconnecting the monitor?

If you havent yet, try one of the first two.

Which app is this, by the way? (or is it all apps?).

Best of luck,

Chas
