Apple's New Keyboard

OK, maybe it's not the most essential bit of computing hardware for photography, but the new keyboard is fantastic. It looks great, but beyond that, I find it makes typing a breeze. Very nice $50 tweak to your system. Highly recommended.

Boy, I will second that. As soon as Tiger is out I will have to get a new processor to match the keyboard.

So tell me this. Does the spacebar lockup if you hit it off-center like the old one?

If they fix that one common keyboard problem, I'll have one.

Keyboard locking up? Not a problem with this one.

I love the look and the design (like most Apple products), but I am less than thrilled about typing on the new keyboard. The keys are flat instead of contoured, and I find my fingernails tapping and scraping on the keys...not a pleasant feeling.

Now, that's interesting, as I like the flat keys better. To each his own, I guess.

Re: Apple's New Keyboard

I also prefer the sculpted keys for extended writing. You can write faster, and the sculpting leads your finger more than the flat surface of the new keyboard.

It's in the vein of the MacBook keyboard.
