Next LapTop Choice

My moms at the age of 81 wanted a laptop so she could get email and join the rest of her far flung family. I gave her my spare laptop planning to replace it. Now the question is what to do. Should I get the Intel Core Duo of Mac Book Pro if that’s what to call it or stick with a regular power book G4? How will our center of the universe friend Photoshop do with the duel? What I can tell is that at some future point Photoshop will be fast but for now be slower and disappointing.

I also wonder if the Express card 34 will or does have any internet connection cards that will go directly into the lap top verses a USB connection that will be anawkward dangling thang, especially in an airport.

TIA.
