| Nikon D70 can\'t read JPEGS from card with PS 7 but I have an iMac running OS 9.2.1 with PShop 7 and Image Ready 7. I have a Nikon D70. I have a Sandisk card reader plugged into the iMac direct (not via a hub) and when I try to open a jpeg from the card in the car reader, PS says it is an incomplete or truncated file and it opens just the top quarter inch of the jpeg and the rest is grey.
If I open the jpegs in ImageReady they open OK and I can then save them to the hard disk and open them OK in PS. (Where it says they are layers and I have then to flatten the image before saving or I get 34MB files).
If I start with PS and use the browse facility, the small jpegs from the card in the card reader read OK but will not make an image in the box on the left nor will they open when I double click - same story - incomplete or truncated jpeg.
Same with another card I have and anyway I have had one of the cards written to disk at the local lab without any problems. Also, I have a PC and have no trouble opening up the cards in PS on that.
Any ideas anyone?? Why will PS not read my cards? (Oh, and I have PS 5 and it says 'unknown or invalid jpeg marker')
