Slide Show software for the Mac

Can anyone suggest a slideshow software for the mac that is similar to Pic2Exe on the PC?
Ideally it would allow me to create a slideshow that would autorun on BOTH Mac and pc.
I have used macs more than pc's so if the answer has been staring me in the face don't hesitate to call me an idiot and I will gladly go " DOH!!! "

Re: Slide Show software for the Mac

Have you tried using iPhoto 2? I create an album in iPhoto 2. Make sure you have the images in the order you wish to have in your slide show. Then I add music from iTunes. I use my own CD selection and attach an appropriate song or music. I then select all the images and go to export to Quicktime Movie and save on my desktop. I then attach this folder to any email. You can change the time interval between images. The fade is only one type. The music ends abruptly, unless you time the music to the length of the slide show. The only problem encountered is the SIZE. Only those with DSL/Cable can download 2-10MB files quickly to enjoy the show. Also the person must have QUICKTIME installed on their computer. Which is a free download at the APPLE site.

Re: Slide Show software for the Mac

Hi,

I use Motion Pictures that comes with Toast Titanium 6. It really serves my needs. I can add motion to the pictures, I can add as many songs as I need and it will go right to Toast when it is done rendering. It can burn VCD's, CD's, DVD's. Also it will let you send the rendered result over to iMovie also.

I just got done with a Football slide show that was 5.7Gig. Which ended up being about 26 minutes long. I had 5 songs with cross fade. I had the pictures moving, zooming and fading to one another. It took about 2.5 hours to render and then 20 minutes to burn additional copies. The parents, coaches and school admin was so impressed with the quality that I have just received an order for 100 DVD's at $25 each.

Outstanding quality.

Also you can do a lot in iMovie, with the ability to import iPhoto libraries into iMovie,... you have the Ken Burns effect as well as a few other cool Video style effects

here is a chessy fun example I did, all in iMovie, sound effects and such came with the program!...
