Panther takes me to iPhoto

Hello,

Just recieved a new 15in powerbook with Panther pre-installed. When I insert a card in the slot to copy to the HD or open with Photo Mechanic, it launches iPhoto. I don't want iPhoto and have tried to find a way in preferences and sys preferences to stopping this, but so far have not found it. Anyone have suggestions of how to stop this from happening short of removing iPhoto?

Other than that the book is fine, but I do like the recessed trackpad on my old Pismo much better.

You need to launch Image Capture, located in your Applications folder. Then go to Preferences and tell it what program you want to use.

Actually, in the preference area, select for Camera Preferences " No Application". That will keep it simple. While you're there, choose the same for Scanner Preferences.
