Replacement modeling lamps: Norman LH2000/2400 heads

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get replacement modeling lamps for my Norman LH2000/2400 heads.

I've heard that certain bulb mfgs. were better and lasted longer. So, I'm looking for the "best bang for my buck"...

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Larry

Any commercial electrical supply store can set you up for about $5.00 each. There's nothing too specialized about the bulbs. The bulbs last a long time, as long as you don't bump the lights when they're on.

I think I'm using both ESS, 250 watt bulbs, and ESP, 150 watt watt bulbs, on my Normal 2000/2400 heads, now about twenty years old...

Both available through B&H for about $12.00 each. Color temp is about 2900-3000 degrees K at full power when new. Life is rated to about 2000 hours from what I remember. Pretty standard lamp, as I recall.

In SoCal, I'd probably try Calumet or Samy's for this bulb.
