Thank-you for the continued feedback! I was beginning to think this thread was dead after my last post.

With all the positive feedback I am definitely considering WL/Alienbees. Basically where I'm at is either go with WL/Alienbees due to the outstanding bang for the buck. Or Profoto even though they are much more expensive, The Camera Store here in Calgary has the monoheads on for a great price compared to other Canadian dealers of Profoto.

It is now appropriate that I post an update to my WhiteLighning experience: I contacted Dave at KHB Photgrafix ( the canadian service provider for WL) and explained my situation. Following his advice I sent the faulty unit for evaluation. Hold and behold, I just received it back TOTALLY REFURBISHED AT NO COST WITH AN ADITIONNAL WARRANTY UNTIL NEXT YEAR ! Wow! talk about perfect Pro Service. Though I still don't know the root cause of the problem ( probably a bad batch), KHB and WL totally honored their Pro Reputation! I have to admit that this experience won me back in their fan club !!
