color meter with digital

if using a color meter, it outputs readings in LB/CC/color temp, other than using filters on lights/lens, what correlation is there between 5CC Magenta and colors in PS for example?

can i just use curves and add 5M to all colors?

if setting the meter use display readings in color temp, i can figure out to set the slider in a raw converter to that K setting, but is the G/M slider below it using CCs as units or just arbitrary units?

Shooting Raw? Toss the meter, its useless. Its also severely inaccurate since it provides a scale in Kelvin and lots of different color so white can correlate to the same Kelvin values.

Useful in the film days, not so useful anymore. Especially if you shoot Raw. You cam make up any white balance you wish.

well i shoot interiors, and i bring additional tungsten lighting on dimmers which affect color temp, so i want to match everything as close as possible.

its not so much color balance overall for the image (its correct that raw can easily correct this) but individual light sources.

If you want to use the meter so all the lights are the same, fine, that will work.
