Connecting Flash to Camera (w/bracket)

I'm considering a Really Right Stuff Wedding Bracket, but do not know what kind of cable I need to connect my camera to my flash. I'll be using a Canon 580 EX II w/ a 40D. What are my options?

Re: Connecting Flash to Camera (w/bracket)

Looks like the Off Camera Shoe Cord 2, to retain full compatibility. There is a new one called the OC-E3, but although it is compatible with the 580EX II, it doesn't show compatible with the 40D.

I have the Cord 2, and it works great with the 5D and 1Ds, so it should work great with the 40D.

UPDATE: On another thread, Chuck Westfall says the OC-E3 is compatible with E-TTL and E-TTL II. That must mean it is compatible with the 40D. It just doesn't show that on the web site.
