Question question about HMI lighting for boudoir shoots

I use a crazy set of about 9 or 10kw of tungsten hot lights every so often to shoot boudoir sessions, all lights are clumped together behind a series of silks so i get the most beautiful soft wrapped around and flattering light, particularly good for the over 30 ladies...heh - i can get to f5.6 or 6.5 shooting at 500 iso with this, which gets me in the safety ball park for focus etc

of course the downside is the power it takes to fire all this up and the heat - i find that if i cool the set the AC to the chilly 60s before a session the heat and light the system gives out is kinda sexy...

anyway, i need to be able to travel with a similar rig and am looking into other options

wondered if anyone has had good or otherwise experience with these guys, or with similar rigs?

HX-2400 HMI Metal Halide Pro Lighting - KIT-7120, KIT-7140, KIT-7150, KIT-7160, KIT-7170, KIT-7180, KIT-7190

I like the look of the 8kw rig

2200 bucks for the whole caboodle - how will it compare to halogen/tungsten hot lights?

Or I was also looking at the fluorescent "cool" lights like these...

Very "Cool" Fluorescent Sets - KIT/CLL-0640, KIT/CLL-1280, KIT/CLL-1920, KIT/CLL-2560

Also was wondering about these, although they are much more expensive...

Arri X Ceramic 250W Flood (90-265V)

input gratefully received

will

ps oh and the shot below was not shot with full power, the aperture was probably in the 2s - i often turn some of the lights on or off during the session depending on how moody we are getting, and of course this model is not anywhere near her 30s...

I'm surprised by no responses. I too would like additional input about both these types of lighting systems. What have you learned since June?
