PW MultiMax misfire?

I've got a set of used Multimax units that I have not reeived the manual for yet.

They've been working fine. But this past weekend I ran into a situation where the transmitter would fire once and the red light on top would stay on and it wouldn't fire again until I turned the unit off/on. I tried reversing them (receiver and transmitter) and had the same thing happen, the new transmitter would fire and "stick" and had to be turned off/on to reset.

Sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks!

Re: PW MultiMax misfire?

Try two things that usually fix most MultiMax problems. First, install brand new batteries. Second, after the new batteries are installed, turn the unit off, then hold down the "C" key and power up the unit, while holding "C" down. You should get a message telling you the unit is being reset to factory defaults.

I've had this happen a few times and it's usually the batteries, but resetting the units every now and then clears out any accidental settings you may have created.

Hope that helps.

Mike

I will try both (batteries and resetting) today. Found a PDF of the manual, too.

The reset seems to have cleared it. Thanks!

Re: PW MultiMax misfire?

I'm having problems with one unit receiving. It transmits fine but if I hold down another transmitter test button this unit doesn't hold a constant red led. Sometimes it doesn't fire at all.
