Ringflash

Hi, Im interested in purchasing a RingFlash for my photo business. I shoot mostly for advertising. I have researched in the net but so far havent found much reviews at all regarding the different ringflash setups which are basically the Profoto 7 series (very very expensive packs, out of the question for me, would love the 7b pack but its priced too high), Profoto Acute 2r pack and ringflash (strongly considering it but dont know if i can use the pack with the AB Vagabound battery when i need it), Hensel Porty pack and RF 120 ringflash (also strongly considering it, read the pack is quite sealed so thats great since I work a lot on location). ANyone here have experience with any of these units?

I read that the Hensel ringflash head is being replaced by a new design but I havent seen it for sale anywhere. Its on their website though HERE I also dont know much about the brand itself and If it will be around for a while, concerned about flash tubes replacement parts, accesories etc just in case.

Re: Ringflash

Ken
I have the Profoto acute 2’s and just got a ring flash. Now want to be portable too, so I’m going to buy the Hensel Porty premium pack and get an pigtail adapter that will allow me to use my Profoto heads and ring flash on the Hensel. Hope this helps.

Mark

Re: Ringflash

I have not used the Hensel but can say that thay have been around for a long time and there are no indication to them going any where.

I Asissted a Photographer some years a go and he had the Hensel and it was working quite nicely. I also no of one photographer out here that has been using the ringflash from Hensel for some years and he is very happy with it
