I'm looking into renting a dyesub printer for a event. Any idea where I could look for that? Ideally it would be based in Quebec or Ontario to minimise on shipping cost and delay.
Thanks

Shinko is near the top of the list, but I rarely buy at Vistek, just too much $$ whenever I've compared.
I'm a Fuji dealer and they make a great product and even though I buy at cost, the current front runner is a Mitsubishi. I guess I have to thank Ian Griffiths for that one. He's got dozens of them running.
I know Shinko and Fuji have won the DIMA dye-sub printer competitions for the last few years.
Right now, I'm looking at a 6" to save $$ and weight. I have a number of golf tournaments scheduled and they are wanting 5x7". I know I can do them on 8", but I'd rather not have to trim if it can be avoided.
I will check out Vistek $$ when I get a chance.

Hi Doug:-I'm not tied to Vistek, so if you find a special somewhere please let me know. I am going to look at the Shinko at the end of the month and don't need to purchase until the middle of April. I need an 8" printer and I don't think Mitsi makes a roll feed 8".
Cheers
Chris

Check out the Mitsubishi CP3800 8" roll feed printer, it is awesome.
Before all the shouts go up, I am sponsored by Mitsubishi in the UK but that does not make me their lap-dog and you are not in the UK!
The 3800 is a new breed of printer, its small, reasonably light and very economical to run with 12x8's costing about 70p each.
I have found it superb at events, all the printing and paper transport is conducted inside the printer, it only comes out of the printer when its finished, so no dust marks, no lost profit.
I'm sure if you contact your local dealer he will be able to get you a demo.
