My feelings are the same as Doug A. Screw them! By the way, on my website, I have the option of disabling the RIGHT CLICK! Everyone should be using it.

I think “Screw them!” is a perfectly good disposition, provided one arrives at it in a thoroughly informed, conscious manner.
Unfortunately, a lot of posts on this forum (not just this thread) lead me to conclude that large numbers of pros are ill-informed—sometimes willfully—and in denial about the realities of the Internet. I hardly blame them for not wanting to deal with it, but the dilemmas just won't go away. There are three basic choices, and they're not even open to everyone:
(1) remove yourself and your work from the Internet entirely
(2) be constantly unhappy
(3) understand the issues, decide how you are going to deal with each one for the foreseeable future, and let go of the angst

1) Yes, you (generic you) can remove your work from the internut. It's a choice. A wise choice? Different question yet again.
2) Open to everyone, not that I advocate this option.
3) Some situations you can't deal with, unless capitulation is dealing with it. As an example, yesterday I contacted a person (victim) with respect to a photograph that was very likely in copyright violation and that was hosted by a site in Russia. Whatchagoindo? My guess is very little.
If capitulation (in some cases) is not an option, then you are back to options one and two. Not exactly pleasant, is it?

But does it have to be un-pleasant? Perhaps a laugh and a shrug are the best response in some cases? Perhaps capitulation is sometimes a necessity, and one should be at peace with that, knowing that you've got all the important bases covered?
I suppose my point is that one has to have the essential bases covered. The few that slip through the cracks should not hurt so much.

Well, I doubt it would be pleasant. I mean, if you don't mind having your work stolen, then an easy solution is to remove your copyright and to put your work in the public domain. Everyone can have it. But if you maintain your copyright, then, presumably, you have done so for a reason. And if someone steals your copyrighted image, then you've been violated in some fashion.
I suspect this stuff is highly personal and subjective. And thus, I can't advocate how one should react.
