HiTi P710L Event Printer

Hi everbody

Has any body had a chance to use this new printer from HiTi?

HiTi PhotoPrinter P710L

The HiTi P710L Event Printer looks very good with fast print speeds 9 x 6 at a mere 13.2 secs not inc Processing times from PC to Printer.

I am trying to find some reviews on the web but not had much luck any comments or links to reviews would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Re: HiTi P710L Event Printer

Hi there..

if you google Shinko 2145 you will find that your HiTi is most likely a rebadged Shinko printer (with an excellent reputation) like my Olmec OP1000 here in the UK. It produces excellent results very quickly, and I wish I had found one earlier!

Many Thanks Ciaran

The Shinko 2145 Looks Ex the same as the Hiti, would love to know the cost of the ShinKo 2145. The Hiti retails at £1175. Would be nice to get a comparsion, Have Hiti added or taken away any features?

Best Regards

Re: HiTi P710L Event Printer

Just taken delivery of the new Hiti P710L absolutely brilliant, build quality is second to none and the speed is blazing fast their quoted time of 13.2 sec per 9 x 6 is slightly slow I time them at 12 sec, but who’s to a second maybe my watch is fast.

The roll is easy to fit and the colour profile it comes with is very acceptable. However we will be producing a custom profile in the next few days.

The roll prints out 310 8 x 6 or 9 x 6 prints in one change at a cost of 30p each cheaper and faster if you are printing 7 x 5 or 6 x 4

Over the moon 100% Satisfied, now let go try it at the next event see how it stands up to volume printing?

The Mitsubishi CP9800DW has defiantly got a serious contented here with this printer

Re: HiTi P710L Event Printer

Jonpaul

looking at the specs it is exactly the same as the Olmec 1000. Just bought one for a little less than £900 from Photomart. Knocks spots off of my Mitsy 9550. Only printer with a 2 years manufacturers warranty which was what swung me from buying a 9800 which has about the same print speed (plus the 9800 is over £350 dearer). They all use the schinko drivers.

Re: HiTi P710L Event Printer

Your right it looks the same The Hiti retails for around £1175.00 inc vat from System Insight the one i purchase from them had been used at one of their training days Stuart at Sytem Insight told me it had only had around 30 prints through it and give me a £250.00 Discount on the price brining it down to £925.00 inc vat. the printer arrived the very next morning and as told it was like new.

Got an event to do tonight and Saterday night around 600 attending 300 people per night. I will be producing 9 x 6 prints in 11 x 8 strut mounts need to print out 300 prints per night in a 2.5 hour slot ready to sell them after the main event, so lets see if it is up to the task and proves reliable. Will let you know what i think on Sunday.

Thanks

Re: HiTi P710L Event Printer

Jonpaul the Olmec media is about £18 a box cheaper at Photomart, would be interesting if it will take it. The other question is did you get a 2 year warranty? Always interesting to compare.
Best of luck with the function, the printer will cope but can you get the pictures to it quick enough? thats always my problem.
