Question EOS template for PS cs/2 JAlbum & others

Has anyone had direct experience using the EOS template to generate web galleries and use them for event orders?
I would appreciate hearing your experience & recomendations in this regard.
How does it handle volume, multiple stations, etc.
Thank you.

Re: EOS template for PS cs/2 JAlbum & others

I use the EOS template and have recomended it on numerous occasions

My web galleries are generated with Breezebrowser simply because I prefered the layout over the PS style.

I've never had a problem with the software itself, and most days I get multiple orders coming in. You receive two emails - one is the order and the second confirmation of payment.

The only downside is that when someone doesnt use the third party software for the payment (in my case Nochex and/or Paypal) properly I still get notification that an order has been placed even if payment hasnt been received. I simply double check all my orders as they come in.

Hope this helps

I will second Gary's recomendation, I use it with Jalbum. Peter Berger who developed the program is also very helpful on a one to one basis, and the people on the EOS group cannot do enough to help

I've been useing the software for about 6 months and love it. The only problem that I have and there is not a resolution for is sections. You can have sections within a gallery of one event. These sections can only go down one level. Example event gallery - section - pictures. If you leave the gallery to go to another(gallery 2) one you will loose what is in your shopping cart for the first gallery. That is my main grip. Other than that it works fine and I use the Breesebrowser to create my templates to. There is also a feature with an external plugin called zoomify. That allows a person to zoom in and move around the picture.

This is an old post, has anything changed with regard to Larry's problem with multiple galleries and the shopping cart ?

I am looking at using EOS and do some 4 day events. If the problem is still there then the only way I see round it is having all the days in one gallery, this will mean may be 48 sections in total (12 a day). Will EOS cope with that many sections in one gallery, there will probably be about 2,000 images per day therefore about 8,000 images in total.

Also any preference between Breezebrowser and Jalbum.

Thanks, Duncan
