Event viewing stations

I have just started doing events here in AZ. Right now I am using the 5 Minute Photo software which works great. we have 3 viewing stations set up, each on its own PC. I have noticed a number of folks are using BeTwin software to increase the number of viewing stations per PC. I am buying used Dell Optiplex GX50's and am wondering if some one could help me out as to what Video cards i should be getting (name and model number) Also it is my understanding that once you put in a PCI video card it negates the onboard video monitor. Do you then have to put in an additional video card to get the 3rd monitor up. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gene

I won't promote my solution here... but Gene, Between should give you the video card requirement. And as for the onboard videocard, you should be able to use it even if you put PCI card in the system... Again not to familiar with Between as I'm an Apple & Linux user

Hope this help a bit.

Oh Claude. Go ahead and promote your set up. No one cares if you are selling something. You provide a service that many can use. I won't but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what you are doing.

Thanks Claude, I will try working with the Between this weekend. Will your system scale to the 30 to 40 station size?
Thanks
Gehe

Re: Event viewing stations

Yes it could. The basic system has 6 monitors attach to it... right now you can attach 9 more to it for a total of 60 monitors. With 10 servers I would suggest a dedicated server for image importation however (with no screen attach to it) so all ressources are dedicated to the import process.

The problem I heard with Betwin was about liscensing, heard they stop working for no reason... But I haven't experience it

My system propose a complete solution from the time you insert the card in it util images gets displayed on the monitors....

Got to go Will eleborate more on the subject if this is something that interest you.
