Spec photos--printing out a ticket for customers?

Not sure how I should have titled the post. I was at PMA, and saw a guy who works for a large local event photo company, wandering the floor taking spec shots of people chatting, then reaching down to his belt, where he had a device that printed out a ticket corresponding (apparently) to the shots he had just taken. He then walked up to the people and handed them the ticket, apparently telling them where they could view/purchase the photos.

I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy before he was gone. Anyone have any idea who makes this nifty piece of gear and what camera(s) it works with?

TIA,
Steve

Kewl beans, Norbert!
Very interesting technology...I can see how a modified approach with that kind of gear could work in a lot of applications we event photographers have.

Here's a better link for SnapSync . These are the guys who developed it, and wrote the software. It truly is a great gizmo. I've been using them for two years, wouldn't shoot a league without them.

We shot 1500 kids today, about 120 teams, 8 cameras at two different locations. I synched up both jobs in the office in about 40 minutes. Order envelopes matched to images, kids matched to teams, teams matched to divisions. It's a beautiful thing.
