I tried the tip you use for packages .. thanks. I don't care for the PS packager because of the borders.
I'm looking for a workflow for packages, like 2-5x7's, 8 wallets, etc. from the same image.
My question. I noticed when I saved the file with the photos inserted to the desktop,
that the file icon was white and didn't show the photos. When opened by clicking it, of course they open with the images as saved. Is this normal, or is there a toggle I should check for a icon preview? Just wondering ..
Thanks again,
RonB

Do not save with the pictures in it. You want the template empty so you can use it over and over.
If you need to save a particular layout with pictures do a "Save As" and name it different. This way you are keeping your termplate intact.
I have an action closing the canvas with the pictures with "No Save" and assigned an F12 shortcut to it.
If you want to do other packages make a coresponding Template and do not close the picture after you put it on the clipboard only deselect it. After your first picture(s) is in the template resize the open picture and put it on the clipboard and put it in the Alpha Channels.
If you make an action the only thing you have to do with your picture open is click the action button and all is done automatically. It resizes the picture, puts it on the clipboard then opens your template, selects the Alphas and past the picture into it. Then it resizes the picture again for Wallets for instance and puts it on the clipboard and recalls it as often as needed to fill the Alphas.
You may also check out the Picture Package in PS. (File<Automate<Picture Package.)
Dennis Aluisa is right.(see his post farther back) Qimage is a very good alternative to do this and for $35 you can not go wrong.

Qimage doesn't cut it when using TIFF files printing to 8660 from a 520.
Wish the damn thing did...having a helluva time finding the right deal to print 2 5x7 (different images) to the 8660.

Why Tiff? use the 520 in Jpg mode the quality is good enough for 5x7s. Qimage should work just fine.
If so read my post further up. It works with all Window printers.
A simpler way would be just cropping the pictures and dragging them in to an open canvas. Reposition them and print. Time involved less than 20 seconds.

Thanks for your concern in where I disappeared to. Unfortunally soon after the posting I had an unfortunate illness with surgery. Things are better now, and I am starting to get back on track. As for all of the others, thanks for your imput. I am looking into the suggestions.
As for packagizer, I have been using this program, but have been having some serious problems with the software and have tried to get intouch with the creators in Colorado, and they really do not seem interested in helping with the fix. There support has been very poor.
But with PS7 coming out, has anyone really had the chance to play around with it and be able to make templetes? And what are your thoughts on the ease of use with PS7 vs. PS6?
This time I hope not to be away for so long....lol
