Need to out source some 8x10\'s

As per my other topic I am having some problems with my P400, for my event stuff its now problem but I just did a picture day for a swimteam that will be real picky. So I need to out source about 50-75 8x10's. Twenty of them will be the same shot, and then the rest will be one up stuff. Hoping to not have to pay a fortune for this. Anyone recomend a good service that can do this without alot of hassle or time?

go to ezprints.com, reasonable prices and quick turn around. I have also been very impressed with their quality.

Pete, Next time go and buy 3 or 4 HP 1215 or the new Epsons wwhich have card readers build in. Save the pictures to a flash card via a Fire wire card reader and put the printers to work. On 4 printers you can do at lest 60 8x10s an hour saving to the cards included.

I know you and others say you get as good or better quality out of inkjets as dye subs but I personally haven't might just be me but I don't use them.

Re: Need to out source some 8x10\'s

Follow-up report. Just got my sample I submited to EZPrints to try it out and I am not impressed. I see print lines in the image especially in skintone areas but elsewhere in the image as well. I would say less quality than what I got out of the P400.

Does anyone know what thier using for printers or is this wet processed?

BTW, it wasn't just my image, I had them send thier sample images for color calibration and see the same thing in thier image.

Can't swing a Kodak or Sony 8x10 right now so guess I'm going to pickup another P400 and save up for something more durable.

Pete, how much do you want to pay for 8x10s? A lab local to me uses a Fuji Frontier and stuff out of it does NOT look digital. If you want, give Pat Dodd at Photo Production Service in Charleston WV a call, 304/342-7547 and see what he'd charge to make your prints off a CD.

Re: Need to out source some 8x10\'s

Thanks, I picked up a P400 today and decided to do them myself. Can't swing a decent printer right now so I decided to get another P400 and try to wring 4-6 months out of it and save up for good 8x10 printer.

I love the quality of the P400 but its consumer grade design doesn't hold up to my venues very well.
